Who We Are
Changing the Future of Agriculture,
One Relationship at a Time
At Potlikker Capital, we don’t measure success by the number of relationships we build, but by the depth of impact they create. Our team is united by a commitment to transform agriculture through partnerships that support producers and processors who have long been excluded from traditional forms of capital.
These relationships go beyond funding—they strengthen resilience, open doors to new opportunities, and help lay the foundation for generational stability. Each collaboration moves us closer to a food system that is more adaptive, inclusive, and guided by the leadership of those who live and work closest to the land.
We are building a future where agricultural opportunities are not reserved for the few but made possible for those who have sustained their communities all along.
We envision a future where producers and processors—farmers, ranchers, fishers, distributors, and retailers—have the capital, support, and stability to thrive.
When these enterprises succeed, the communities they serve gain greater access to local food, quality jobs, and economic opportunity.
By supporting regenerative practices and strengthening the full food value chain, we are working toward a healthier, more inclusive food system for everyone.
Our Vision
How We Work
Potlikker Capital is guided by trust, humility, and a deep respect for the individuals who work to grow, make, and sustain our food systems.
Our team brings experience from various sectors, including finance, food systems, community organizing, operations, storytelling, and strategy. But more than expertise, we bring curiosity, accountability, and care. We believe relationships are the foundation of good work, and we approach every partnership with a commitment to listening deeply and staying present.
We meet producers and processors where they are—on the land, in the processing shed, or across the kitchen table—and we build capital relationships around the real needs they name. We do our best to ensure funders are not just aligned, but engaged, inviting them to see firsthand how their contributions are making a difference, from new wells to walk-in coolers to harvest-ready equipment.
We know this work is complex. We also know it’s personal. That’s why we move deliberately, follow through on what we say, and adapt when we need to. Our goal is to build something that lasts—and to do it in partnership, every step of the way.

Justice & Equity
At Potlikker Capital, we value collaboration, innovation, and a shared commitment to creating a better future. These values guide our work together and uplift those we serve.
Our Values
We are committed to challenging outdated systems and fighting for equality. Our work empowers historically underresourced producers across the food system, providing them with the tools they need to succeed. We support reparations, land sovereignty, and food sovereignty as essential steps toward a fairer future for all producers, no matter their background.
Community & Belonging
We are building a movement where every producer has the support and opportunities to thrive. Potlikker Capital listens closely to producers' needs, places them at the center of our work, and creates spaces where they can grow and feel a sense of belonging. The strength of our communities will drive real change.
Wisdom, Knowledge, & Empowerment
We honor the wisdom passed down through generations of agricultural stewardship. Our goal is to empower producers with the knowledge, resources, and capital needed to create lasting change. We challenge oppressive systems and encourage new ideas and regenerative practices to shape the future of food.
Respect & Empathy
We approach every project with respect and empathy for the people and communities we serve. We understand that each producer’s journey is unique, and we support them with humility, trust, and belief in their potential. We recognize the contributions of historically underresourced communities and work to open doors to new opportunities for all.
